Keep wanting to study in camp but gets too distracted with stores. That bloody store! Sigh...

Facebook and twitter are the main culprits of my absence. Kind of given up on this already, but I don't know what's bringing me back here. I guess it was because of my bunkmate who asked me about ideas on a blog that he's going to create for his Europe trip. His 3 months Europe trip! Crazy but kinda exciting. I love long backpack trips too. But not Europe... Very costly. I've done backpacking once. YES! My Tokyo Trip! Haha! It just excites we when I think about it. I want to go there again! I've plans to go back after ORD but sadly the Earthquake and nuclear radiation forbids me to go so, I thought, hey why not go Korea? Its cheaper than Japan definitely. Its clean, like Japan. People are friendly, like Japan. Food is good, like Japan. Girls are hotter, like Japan... Well mainly its because I WANNA GO SM ENTERTAINMENT AND STALK SNSD AND BOA!!! MUAHAHAHAHA! No lah just kidding. Mainly its because I want to meet a Korean friend whom I had promised to one day visit her when I've got a chance.

I've yet to look into cheap flights and accommodation. If you happen to know any do let me know PLEASE!!!!!!!

Let me start off by saying おひさしぶり！

How has life been for you guys?

Its has been a long time since I last posted something on this blog.

Well, its now time to resurrect this dead blog of mine; new layout, background and music :)

Where were you since ermmm... May 26th (last post)?

I'm serving the army as most of you know,

I have about 2 more years to complete my commitment. I was enlisted into BMTC Pulau Tekong on the 3rd of June. Trained for 17 weeks, that comprises of 8 weeks of PTP and 9 weeks of BMT. I have already passed out of the course and on the 2nd of Oct and I am posted to Stagmont Camp as an IS Operator Trainee, since the 11th of Oct. Before that I had 1 week of block leave, I went to Genting and KL with my family.

Share your experiences in BMT?

What I’ve gained in BMT which I think is of great significance and influence to me are the friends I make in my platoon back in Falcon company; I was previously from Falcon coy then transferred to Dragon coy.

They are the people whom I first met in Tekong and the first group of people I started my NS life with. They are the ones who made me feel that I am not going through this alone. They are my motivation. While training, we remind each other to endure. Every meal we had together, we talked and laughed about anything and at everything. Everyday we helped and took care of each other like blood related brothers. Unfortunately we had to separate after 2 months together. I will never forget the day when OC gathered us at the foyer and broke the news to us about disbanding the platoon. Everyone was brought to tears and from then on I realized how bonded and how much this platoon meant to all of us, including the commanders. I never thought I would ever experience this in my NS journey. I will never forget that scene at the foyer. The day I was transferred to Dragon company was also the day the BMT phase starts. I met new bunk mates and platoon mates. I adapted to the new environment quickly and made a pretty good bunch of friends.

Training in Dragon was tougher. The hauntings of OC PT still lingers in my head every now and then. Haha! Sounds scary right? But It really was scary the OC PT! After every session you could see puddles of sweat on the ground and everyone will slouch back to bunk tired and burned out. I recall the 1st and 2nd week in Tekong when everything was new and exercising was torture to me, I couldn’t keep up with the pace, but now I see a lot of improvement in my fitness and I have lost a lot of weight, which isn't a bad thing.

To sum it up, I think army life is an experience that is unique and cannot be found elsewhere. It made me realize my limitations mentally and physically. There are a lot more things to learn here and they could be of good use one day. May the remaining days to ORD be fruitful and fulfilling. Right now its just... POP LOH!

How's life in Signals now?

Nothing compared to BMT life. The pace is much more slower. Not that much PT but alot of networking stuff to study. I thought I would nv touch networking after poly but here it comes again. I'm just treating this course as a refresher. It also helps me understand networking better. Basically everyday is just lectures, lectures and more lectures. PT 3 times a week. Super relax kind. IPPT getting more and more chui. I'm starting to get fatter and lazier. My course will end on the 7th of Dec. Its just a 8 week course. After that I will be posted to unit. Good luck to me!

My younger bro was the one who made me watch Gundam Seed a long time ago. Since then I got really into Gundam stuffs. I was first into the OST, then I was into the Gundam robot models. The previous Gundams I made were all broken. Thanks to my mum and my bro who kept shifting my toys around the room. It breaks off easily. This time round. My new Gundam model shall be displayed at a high place. So non of them can reach it. Muahahaha...

I wanna thank Jo for treating me to a feast at cafe 2000 @ M Hotel. She thinks that I was having a bad time in Japan and so to make up for it, the following day after I touched down Singapore she brought me there for dinner. Too bad I wasn't having a bad time there AT ALL HAHA! I tricked her the other day that morning when she called me from Narita to check on how was I doing. I told her to bring me some money. Even asked her to take a train down to Tokyo to meet me! HAH! It was all a joke. But of course she didn't. She has to work.

MIC(Made In China) MP4

My mum bought this for SGD$120 from Chinatown and I would say that it's NOT THAT BAD!

When I had my first sight on this thing I thought it was a PSP. I was so happy! lol... When I look closer, It looked like a MP4 from CREATIVE, and then I take a even closer look, O.O It's a damn MP4! But I was turned off by the cheenah brand. dang...

Jin Xing. In English it means Venus. The 2nd planet from the sun. lol...

Not exactly the same as the PSP box. But it looks like the PSP menu page right?

It has wide screen, interactive navigation icons, arrowscroller sideways, all of this makes you wanna interact with it with your fingers right? I mean people will have this instincts about gadgets nowadays. We are all wrong lor... I tapped the screen and my mother called me dumb. =.=''

There are buttons at the side for you to navigate! The dumbest part is, the off button is the back function, the esc button is the menu function and the volume buttons are the left and right. Cool or wad?

Hey! But its NOT THAT BAD...

There's a 3MP Camera/Video and built-in speakers.

Its quite slim...

and the video quality is as good as your PSP!

Don't look down on MIC products ok...? The functions can be haywire, but the quality is there.

I put Wondergirls Nobody video into it and I regretted... cause she kept playing it over and over again. Its a nice song at first but its annoying now. Lesson learnt, never to put your favorite songs into your mother's MP4. Must take note!

白い恋人

This is the legendary biscuit that everyone is going after for. The shiroi koibito biscuit from Hokkaido. Bought a pack of it at FaSoLa DFS at Narita Airport, on my way back home. This is the 4th box I'm having. The last time my mum went to Sapporo and brought 2 boxes back and another time my sis in-law bought 1 box because I begged her to buy for me. It's really damn good! Between the biscuits is a layer of white chocolate cream that's super sweet and milky. I'm so begging for one more box from my da sao! LOL!

Was offered a temp job at UOB bank as a replacement of a staff who is going for maternity leave for 6 mths. Not a difficult job actually. But disappointingly, I couldn't give the interviewers a definite date of my enlistment and they had to kick me out.

Then in the afternoon I received a call from the agency telling me to go down for an interview at Paragon. I was already in the bus OTW to meet my friends for a k session. I had to give that up. Lucky I was on the same bus to Paragon. When I was there, he made me wait 1hr for the interview. I had to roam about Paragon and I was somehow drawn to the toriyaki stall, so I sat down and had a toritaki don. Time passed so quickly and I went back to find him. So he told me that I just have to arrange stuffs and do other assisting jobs. Signed the 3 mths contract and work starts tomorrow.

I had a great night out with some friends today. Went to Central for dinner at Pasta de Waraku and then we sat down under the "Sakura trees" for a "Hanami" over a nice cone/cup of Hokkaido ice cream. Yumz~ and we chatted for a long time, like we always do :) Lost track of time and we headed back home pretty late.

Now I present to you some WACKY snacks I got from my NIPPON trip.

Sakura Prawn Crackers

Weird! Really weird at first! It taste like sour expired crackers but its still crispy and prawny. But after a few more bites, it gets better... but still weird! I always got this feeling that sakura will taste sweet and strawberry-like kind but I was wrong! When I first tasted the Sakura ice cream at Kawagoe, it changed my perception of it 180 degrees. It taste like herbs, at the same time a very flowery smell. Its ok to have it on sweet stuffs. But not on prawn crackers please...

I bought it because its cute. The cracker taste just like any other ordinary typical Japanese rice cracker. But its molded in to Mickey's head! I also like the packaging. I ate all the crackers already but kept the box. Haha... So Japlish lor.

Nothing is as easy is it seems. I've overlooked it...

Wahh~ I feel must better after a shower. Was having a painful headache just now. It somehow reminded me to pack some medications for my trip. Yup... I'm departing this coming Wednesday. To Tokyo. Been waiting for this moment for a very very long time. Well... Its finally here! =D

Why am I having 2nd thoughts? A part of me is telling me to go and enjoy. Another is telling me to forfeit it and just stay here. I'm really confused right now... After going for it, will it benefit me in any way? What will be left after I come back? I'll come back poor and hungry.. maybe? Happy and a feeling of worthiness? I'm not prepared for this at all. Back from Jakarta

Merry Christmas to all!

I came back from Jakarta a few days ago.

I love that place! The food, the shopping, the apartment... everything's so awesome!

The only thing that I hated was the weather. Jakarta is placed right on top of the equator which makes it super duper hot and dry. My nose bled everyday and my lips cracked. It hurt like hell!

Will post pics of my trip here soon... hopefully... Uploading photos in blogger is so god damn slow!

I cannot tahan... I had to get it! A few reasons why I get this album.

1) I like all of the tracks.

2) Its their first comeback album after 8 long years!!!

3) I love the green and mirror effect on the cover.

4) The lyrics book comes in handy.

5) The DVD inside has their re shot MVs of their old songs.

6) I simply love SPEED =)

I'm twitting too much. I'm ignoring this place. I'm sorry...

So school started a week ago and I'm sooo not getting used to attending classes alone. I miss crapping with my classmates during lessons. I miss going for lunch breaks together. I really do... =( What to do...? Year 3 is all about separations and hardships. Half of my classmates are having FYPJ and IPP, the other half are on the study track and a quarter of my classmates including me (4 of us), we are on the Finance Informatics path. While 3 of them are in class 2. So that leaves me in class 1... How depressing... ALONE YO! They purposely one lor... Beijing Trip I go alone. FYPJ I also do the project alone. The whole of this year I'm doing everything ALONE! Ok I don't want to talk about this anymore... I'm going to the corner to draw circles.

Now listening to SPEED's "Speedland - The premium Best Re Track" album.

Listening to it brings back memories of my primary school days. I remembered myself watching their MVs over and over again on the VCR recorder. I would go crazy over their concerts aired on television and especially went to steal and rewrite my mum's VCR tapes just to record their concerts. I pestered my mum on my 9th birthday to get me their VCDs. That was when I started to go crazy over Japanese. I started learning Jap when I was 10 at Ulu Pandan CC then I stopped attending lessons after half a year because I couldn't stand the teacher's super duper slow teaching. He was an 80+ old man, he should be 90 by now, and most of my classmates were auntie and uncles. I didn't like the class at all... so I stopped learning for quite a long time. I think most of you have heard of their 'white love'. It was so famous last time, the shopping centers were playing it. I got my elder brother addicted to it too. Cause I played it over again and again on the CD player and blasted it till the whole house could hear. The funny thing was I associate my cousin's form teacher Mrs Toh as Eriko Imai. 2nd from the right. LOL! She looked like HER! She was the teacher in-charged of Red Cross and I joined the club. HAHA! Partly I was because I wanted to joing with my cousin lah. But sadly, when our school merged and closed down, she stopped teaching. A few years later they disbanded in 2000, to pursue solo careers. I was shocked. Very shocked. I read the newspaper and I was like "NOOOOOOOO!!!!!" After 8 years, I'm glad that they reunited.

Met up with the Beijing peeps for a picnic at the barrage.

Took the tube down to Marina Bay station at 5:15. First met Wei Quan, in charged of the drinks and chips, then waited for Eileen, PY, Fu and Kai for 30 mins =.=...
Once they reached we have to wait again for Nicholas =.=! Always late forever late never early drunk! lol... joking...
We headed down to the bus stop to wait for the shuttle bus to the barrage.

Monday I had a great time out with my colleagues at Seoul Garden. It was a celebration for the seniors' last day of their contracts and Midzie's enlistment to the army. One of the fullest and meatiest buffets I ever had I tell you... I'm going to be a vegetarian for the next few days.
Though it was only a month, or even less, since we met, it seems like we have known each other for a very long time. Being with you guys reminds me of my times in secondary school life. Life was really crazy and youthful. Working with you guys was really crazy and fun. To those going into the army, may time pass quickly and may the 2 years of serving be a smooth sailing one. To those getting into university, wish you all the best in getting a degree, masters, PHD etc... LOL! And those like me, starting school soon, enjoy your times in poly. Treasure every minute you have with your polymates and study hard.

Hi all!
Sorry if I haven't been blogging alot these days. I'm just too busy to do that! Finally got the time to update. Since tomorrow is an off day, actually there's work tomorrow but I told boss that I want to take a break. Then 5 minutes later he told everyone that there's no work tmr. I stunned. Quite rare of him to say that... hmmm... Then he asked everyone want to work on sunday? Of course must say yes. Double pay leh. No choice. For the sake of my Japan trip I must work.

My work place is fun. I get to make nice bunch of friends and I've learnt quite a number of life skills like... Texas Poker! YES! I'm addicted to it! I love those card flipping and chip stacking sounds. Shiok ah! The best game so far was... $800 chips won! Woohoo! But there's no real money involved lah. We don't gamble, just play for the sake of fun and wasting OT time. lol...
A few of my best buddies are leaving for the army soon. Some going to find a better jobs. My work place will never be the same again. I'm leaving in 2 weeks anyway... but the fond memories of this place will be never be forgotten. Monday shall be our first and definitely not the last gathering guys!

Dim sum at Dim Joy. It was a great experience. The food taste good and the environment was dim and elegant. Surprisingly not many locals dine there. I see lots of Korean ppl. It looks more like Korea to me. LOL! Total price was $60++. Price wise was quite reasonable except for the drinks. Tea they charge by per person not per kettle so quite expensive.

The school vacation is here and I don't really have the mood and all to hang out. I need a long rest at home.
At the same time I'm sending resumes all over Singapore for a part time job. Hopefully I could start work as soon as possible. I hate to stay home for a reason, my mother would nag over the house chores over and over endlessly. 好烦啊！Always picking on me to do things for her. My brother doesn't have to do anything. Just sit there and play computer 24/7. Spoilt... useless... good for nothing... You need to do something about your life lah.

Lab was boring and cold today. Spent most of the time starring blankly at the code. Made no changes to them... just stare for the sick of starring. Making sure that I'm showing off interest in my project. Acting like a good boy... Nothing was on my mind. I feel moody and tired lah.

Went out with XF and Jon to City Hall go jalan jalan. First we headed down to the dentist to get XF's braces done and then we had "Sheet Iron" chicken omelette rice for dinner at Funan. After that we went down to Raffles City Shopping centre for 2nd round at mos burger. My Croquette Curry Flavored Burger. Yum yum~ and watched those indian translation videos on Jon's iPhone...Yup we had a great laughing time together. For the XXXX time i'm watching this. Those videos doesn't get old. HAHA.

I'll be away to Beijing for my final year project for 5 weeks. (8th June - 10th July) There are so many things I wanna do and so many people I wanna meet before I go. I couldn't because my damn laptop broke down! I had to borrow my cousin's 19th century laptop to Beijing. I had to stay up till 3 am to get the softwares all installed and ready. My hard earn songs and photos are GONE! Especially photos of my primary and secondary school days that I treasured soooooo much... THEY ARE ALL GONE! It really made me wanna cry. My samsung handphone broke down too... and my digital camera! Sigh... Maybe its a sign that I should get all my devices changed? I think so... Thank god it didn't happen over there.

Hopefully things will go well for me in Beijing. I'm going to climb the great wall of china again! Wahaha! Besides that... I can't wait to try the FOOD! Stay tune for more foody pics here =)

End of FYPJ wk 1.
Time to do some reflections...

Day 1:
Went to school early, met up the rest and checked for the reporting venues. L.340 is where I'm posted to and my project is on Milestones Monitoring System. Unfortunately I'm doing the project alone...
Went into the lab. Find for my work station. Met old friends new friends and supervisor Ms Phoon. Did IPP report with Minie. Went for lunch with classmates. Went back to lab to finish up IPP report. Went around level 3 visiting people. Meet ヤニーチャン for project briefing.

Day 2:
Reported to lab late. Played facebook Bejeweled Blitz. Was caught by Minie's supervisor! She knocked my table and told me to stop playing o(▼皿▼)o ...
ヤニーチャン was suppose to give me the program today but she failed to do so. Went up to level 4 with Minie to submit IPP report to LO. Went back to level 3 getting ready to go for FYPJ briefing. Went for briefing and almost slept. Long winded and boring... like some CME lesson. Went back to lab played more facebook.

Day 3:
Finally ヤニーチャン came. Got scolding from her early in the morning for getting the share portal site wrong =/ Installed the program. Get scolding from her again for not looking at what she's doing on her computer. What? Didn't know how to respond to her. So continued with what I'm doing. Suddenly she started scolding people for their msn nicks. LOL! Nvm... morning blues and aging I totally understand.
At night mom came for the Beijing parents session. Asked alot of questions. Made the lecturers panicky... Finished at 9. Went to naked fish for dinner. Day ends...

Day 4:
Clocked in late! Attendance 99.98%. Explored the system. Took notes on some of the codings. Got bored and went to facebook. After lunch went for Beijing Trip briefing. Presented my T Shirt design. Took down T shirt size and name. Thank god somebody came to volunteer to redesign.
After school went to Queensway to find vendor.

So FYP starts today and spent most of the time going around lvl 3 disturbing ppl. Hahaha! I'm doing the project ALONE... Actually I had a partner but Ms Typhoon blew him away to another group to do another project. Damn last minute lor... So from next week onwards you can pass by my lab and see me emoing at the corner.
Managed to finish up my IPP report and its ready to be submitted tmr. Finally its done sia... Lucky Minie same lab as me, we did the report together this afternoon but crapped most of the time. lol

The Beijing trip is still ON! Instead of leaving next Monday, I'll be leaving on the 8th. It has been shortened to 5 weeks and I need to get a flu jab sia!

Today we had a mini presentation to our LO. Its just about explaining our roles, reflections and a wrap up of all the tasks we were assigned to for the past 12 weeks. I would say that today was the slackest day of my IPP. Cause all I did was typing and deleting words from the Excel spread sheet. I got a little busier after Boss came to inspect on me. Lucky he went off early today or else he will sit in with the LO for our presentation. Phew...
2 new students from DBI coming in next Monday. Hopefully they don't give them a hard time. lol... I wanted to write a little note at the table to warn them about that few people in the office and the boss. HAHA! Just kidding lah... Not planning to do that =X
Tmr is my off day again. MUHAHAHA! but don't worry I got lots of stuffs to do.

HAPPY 19th BIRTHDAY DEBBIE!!!

Last Sunday went out with my best seconday school friends to PS's Thai Express to celebrate Debster's BDAY!

My 3rd time at Thai Express and Thai food nv gets boring. The Olive fried rice was my favourite. That mango dessert didn't get to try it cause I'm afraid the coconut would upset my stomach. That Olive fried rice cost me $9.90++ and the stuffed chiken wings $7.90++
Price wise too expensive but for quility food its worth the try. Now Debster has the membership, we can go back for more! HAHAHAHA XD

So my mom just got back from Japan and she just can't stop complaining about her trip.
Blah blah blah food was bad... time was short... tour guide sucked... hotel was dirty... blah blah blah... Oh you dunno how much I want to stuff that box of mochi in her mouth! I don't even want to know about the trip lah. For all I care how unpleasant her trip was... that's for not bringing me there!

Work is driving me nuts and into STM.
Finance and Banking terms are so chim... I had a very bad headache time figuring them out. Plus that damn iBanking device... I thought I lost it! Misplaced it in the tissue paper packet... Dumb of me sial~ Almost wanted to report lost sial~
Lunch today was pretty special. Many untold secrets were revealed. Office politics. Hmmm... and quite disappointed after hearing them. Long story... All I can conclude is that its never perfect in the working force. You will definitely meet bustards and bitches along the way. Its a jungle out there! RAWR!

So we went out yesterday to celebrate ZX and my birthday! Though our birthdays are 3 days apart. To save time... just celebrate together lor. We had Ramen Ten for dinner at far east plaza! Before that we headed down to many places to hunt for our CDs. It was disappointing cause BoA and Tohoshinki albums were all sold out. Dammit... Wanted to get Koda Kumi's Trick album but at second thought, I believe somewhere out there in Singapore actually sells cheaper. So far the cheapest I found was $27.90. Izanagi got it for $25! I won't give up! lol...

Food time! The rest were pretty disappointed about the food there. Char complaint that her fries were too salty. ZX's curry ramen was too dry, Daniel wasn't satisfied with the tempura... I had the honey chicken which taste normal. No wow factor. I'm not going back there =(

Went to catch the movie Detroit Metal City last Sunday with some friends. Was a little scared of the show at the beginning... lol... cause the contents of the metal rock songs are about rape, murder, F***, and so on... Its sick and satanic!

Soichi Negishi is a shy and gentle young man who dreams of a career as a pop musician. Dreams don't pay the bills, so he's ended up as the lead singer of a death metal band called “Detroit Metal City.” In stage costume he is Johannes Krauser II, rumored to be a demon, to have killed and raped his parents, to wield his giant death penis with abandon, etc. etc. Negishi despises DMC and all that it stands for, but so help him, he's a terrific performer and can't walk away from that. My impression of death metal rock previously was that its all trash, but some how I don't think that its trash anymore. In fact, I fell in love with the songs in the movie! Anyone who encounter a download link for the OST please tell me!!!! =D

Week 5 of IPP! I'm getting used of the place already.... and the people. haha! (ppl with nostril hair sticking out like spiderlegs) LOL!
The best thing about my workplace is the food court at the NUS hostel which has really good food. I just had Kimchi Fried Rice this afternoon for lunch. I've also tried the Japanese Beef Bowl! Superb! And the western! Teriyaki Chargrill Chicken!!!! =p~~~~
haha! Enough with the foodie...
Today the boss sat down with me to talk about the errors that I've encountered. Was super nervous cause I'm afraid he would ask me stuff like demo the errors to me, and when I demo to him the error is not there. lol... it happens all the time. Lucky today was about something else. Its about next week's task which I think I'll die! Calculations and valuations of the program!!! Boss handed me a book about all those formulas and stuffs... Its as thick as my OS textbook... Sian de lor...

4th week at the company and I'm suffering! 4 weeks of non stop system testing... its driving me nuts. I don't understand how my OIC assign me with the tasks. Cause I'm kind of ahead of the schedule and I'm afraid that by the end of the week, I'm left with nothing to do and the boss will come bombarding me with questions whether the whole system has been tested thoroughly and stuff like that... but seriously there's nothing else left to check. I've already tried my best to check through every single segment of the program. I dunno what is there left to check. From what I know from my OIC was that the system has been checked previously by poly students for the past 2 years. So errors and defects are getting more difficult to find now... cause they had already been found!
Anyway I'm moving on to a new task... system testing on another system... much smaller than the previous one... hopefully the checking can last me for 4 weeks! I got to learn to waste time.

Can't wait for my 1st pay cheque!

After 2 weeks of internship, FYPJ and some slacking... we finally met!
So we settled down at Pasta Mania for dinner, then we had a long chatting and crapping session.

Its week 2 of my internship at the Science Park.
I'm getting more and more restless as the week goes by.
Did system testing again.
I doze off like 10 over times at my table! lol...
and I was caught by my colleagues.
It was embarrassing cause I almost fell of the chair and I made a loud sound.
My OIC asked me whether I was having nightmares...
and the whole office went laughing. haiz...
After work went to have a haircut.
My LO is going to visit me tomorrow at the office.
